COMMISSIONER MEET & GREET

We had a good turnout for the meet & greet for our two newest commissioners - Chairman, Phil Miller and District 1 Commissioner, Ricky Dobbs, Jr. Both of these gentlemen got to spend some time getting to know some of the citizens, listening to concerns as well as praise from individuals, and providing us with insight and candor on their future plans and visions for the county. Commissioner Miller stressed that two of his priorities are law enforcement and safety, while Commissioner Dobbs ensured us that he is dedicated to giving back to the community. Various topics were discussed, and both commissioners ensured us that they would be accessible if needed to help navigate a process or assist with communications or concerns.

Beth Whilden Bennett has graciously volunteered to teach a crochet class to make lapgans for the seniors. This turned out to be a great time of learning a new craft with fellow club members and for a great cause!

"A SPECIAL Thank You to Co-Chair Kelly Talbot, Todd Allton, Shirley Akers and Carol Newborn for setting up/taking down and working the booth! We met some really wonderful people and some outstanding vets today. We had quite a few that were very interested in our club and passed information on to them. Hopefully we put some smiles on some faces and hope in their heart.
